when you changed your names at DMV

when you changed your names at DMV did you also change it on your registration & car titles or just on your license?

Can I just change my license? I can't find my current title and I want to go today...

no i only changed my license. Apparently you should change your registration and title too. Oh well

its a diff form so i guess you don't have to but its probably easier to do it in one shot then waiting.

i did it all in one shot--but everyone is different

you can just do the registration and license.

Be prepared to be there a while. I waited for over an hour and a half and it took 2 minutes at the counter

I just did this yesterday. I changed everything, my license, registration and title. You do need the title with you cause they'll take it and send you the updated one. Also, when you get home, remember to call your car insurance too and change your name on that as well.

Uh oh... I was going to go after work at 5:15 and they're only open til 6... hopefully I'll make it

As long as you are INSIDE by 6pm on the dot you are fine. They stay open. You cannot leave once it closes. So make sure everything is out of your car.

i did it while i was there but that was because i lease so i dont own a title to my car. The lady that helped me said you must have the title in order to change the registration
