Where are you spending Christmas Eve? Christmas day?

Christmas Eve is huge on my dad's side. Each of his siblings rotate each year. This year it's at my parents house. About 20 adults and a few kids will be there. Although as the 'kids' (my cousins and I) are 'growing up', we'll be included in the rotation - UGH, next year MAY be me! UH OH!

Christmas Day is the hectic day - We usually go to my parents in the early afternoon to exchange gifts with my grandmother and then off to his aunts house for dinner.

I can't wait! I LOVE Christmas!

ETS - to answer your second question, Jenn, yes I am happy with my plans. I think once we have kids I will host Christmas Day this way all the grandparents can enjoy their grandkids (gee, talk about looking into the future

This will be my first Christmas I am not able to spend with my family at all.

We spend Thanksgiving in Florida with my parents and we will be in Indiana at my in-laws from Dec 22-27. YIKES! This is the #1 downside of not leaving near either of our families. It's all or nothing for holidays.

I think we're going to my MIL's place in Long Beach.. She is having a wine and cheese type of thing. not sure.. I wish my house was where I'd like it to be or I'd host it myself..

Ugh

This year is going to be very different for my family!

Christmas Eve, we spend at my parents house, with my brothers and stepsister, and my Grandparents. Only this year, one of my brothers is going to his GF's brother's in-laws (

don't ask!).

Christmas Day, we have decided to host dinner b/c DH's family will be visiting from the south. It will be the first holiday we host, and the first time both our families are together on Christmas.

I'm a little worried...but, hopefully it will all work out.

Christmas Eve we are going to Matteo's in Howard Beach with DH family. About 25 people will be there. Its alot of fun. Then me and hubby along with my inlaws go to Midnight Mass.

Christmas Day we sleep in and open our presents. I make a special Christmas breakfast and then we go to my parents house for dinner.

Unfortunately, I have to work Christmas Eve. I'm trying to convince DH to go somewhere so I don't feel bad. Christmas Day will be split between both families. They don't live that far from each other and each likes to spend the holiday at home.

Christmas eve will be the two of us. We will go to mass and possibly dinner. Then go out for a few drinks in our neighborhood.

Christmas day is at my brother's house in NJ

Christmas Eve will be at Epcot (for Christmas Show and dinner at France)

Christmas Day will be at Magic Kingdom

DH and I are spending Christmas and New Years at Disney, just the two of us. CANT WAIT!

Christmas Eve I have to work then I think we will be home together with my daughter and go to church at 10pm.

Christmas Day my DH has to work 4-12

so after breakfast at home I think he will take me & daughter to my mom's then he will head to work. We will probably see his family the day after xmas because we are both off.

Christmas Eve-me and DH go to my mom's.
Christmas Day-hectic! In the morning we go to my dad's for gifts, then we go to his mom's for dinner, then I head off to work at 8pm

Xmas Eve we go to my in-laws. It has been tradition. Then on Xmas we spend it at mt parents house

We're having Christmas Eve here in the Bronx, either at my DH's aunt's house, or we are going to stay home and let people come to see us. We're not sure yet. My DH really wants to have it at home.

Christmas Day, after we open our gifts, we're going to my parents on Long Island. (Yay!).

Christmas Eve has always been big in my parents house. We eat appetizers all night and listen to Christmas Music. My sister and I open gifts from each other. When we were little we used to drive around a look at lights.

Christmas Day is my birthday as well. We go to my in-laws in the morning for breakfast, gifts and see his sisters and their families. Then we go to my parents to open more gifts and have lobster dinner and birthday cake. Its a busy two days but I look forward to it.

We are going out to dinner with my parents for Christmas Eve. On Christmas morning we are going to Mil's and then heading to my mom and dad's for dinner with them. We had everyone here for Thanksgiving and everyone got to spend that holiday together.

I'm working 9:30am until 1pm on Christmas Eve. DH is using his last vacation day for 2004 on this day. In the evening we're going to his parents house to open gifts and dinner.

My mother is away for 3 weeks as of yesterday thru Christmas to Melbourne, Australia for my cousin's wedding. She will be going with my bro. My father is home alone who hates travelling by plane, train, bus, or even car as he hates travelling and is very anti-social. Since he is anti-social he will spend the holidays sadly alone. His English is not good despite of the fact we've been living in NYC for 29 years as well so inviting him to my MIL's would not work. My ILs are NOT Chinese. DH is half Lithuanian (mother) and half Japanese (father).
