Where did you have your dress preserved?

Where did you have your dress preserved?

my mom never had her dress preserved and i wish she would have.. so ive decided that i absolutely want to have mine preserved. and would like to do is ASAP!

any ideas where to take it? or should i just call Bayshore Bridal where i bought it from?

I brought mine to my local dry cleaners. They are great there!

I decided not to preserve mine as its from the 1940's and my grandma kept it rolled up in a pillow case all these years. Im going to keep it in the same pillow case- LOl that seemed to work just fine. Dont know why!

I had mine cleaned and preserved at Meurice's Cleaners in Manhasset.

I sent mine out to wedclean....I'll let you know when it comes back! It seemed like a good deal and all the dry cleaners around me send it out anyway, and charged more, so why not cut out the middle man

What is dress preservation? DO they have to vacuume seal it????

Yes they take all of the oxygen out of the box which prevents it from yellowing. I'm dropping mine off tomorrow at Paradise Bridal, where i bought my gown. It's $225, takes 4 weeks and they put it in a box where you can lift the cover and they create a window so you can see the dress throught the box.

i know i'm pathetic but i don't want to preserve it yet. I love that thing. i told DH that I'm going to ut it on every anniversary i'm kind of not kidding either, i have to at least wear it the first one

I will be bringing my dress to the local dry cleaners by me-I have heard nothing but great things about them. Im in Holbrok let me know if you want info
