After graduating from college we both moved back to LI, well NYC, and lived separately with roomates for a year. We moved into an apt. together 5 1/2 years before we got married.

DH and I live with our parents for our entire lives before we were engaged. We moved in together 3 months before our wedding date.
Met: December 20, 1996; Engaged: February 14, 2001; Married: August 24, 2002

We both had our own apartments until 3 months before the wedding and then we moved into a new place together.

We lived separately with roomates untill we were dating for 6 months then I moved in with him into one of our friends houses (where he had been living) and a year and 1/2 Later we got our own place 'just us'

We both lived on our own for the first 3.5 years of dating, but he basically stayed at my apartment 6 nights a week When we bought our house together, we moved into it together, we got engaged 2 months later and thus we lived together in our house 18 months before tying the knot!

I lived in an apartment in my parents house. He lived in an apartment in the house that he owns. Its sad to say but due to a tenant that won't leave the house, we are still living apart. She will be out on 1/5 so we will be able to move into the upper part of the house and still rent out the apartment to the roommate DH has now.... its a long and confusing story!!

We lived in a cottage for 1 year and then we purchased our home 2 years prior to getting married.

I lived with my parents, then moved in with him in his townhouse about a month or two before we got engaged.

oh no!!! I'm getting flashbacks!!!
We lived apart. Not only before the wedding but AFTER!!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
But it's all better now.

i bought a condo before i met DH. he lived with his mom and then Thanksgiving weekend in 2002 he moved in.
