Do you want to live on a beach in Bali or in a quiet country town in Vermont, or how about the mountains of Colorado? Or maybe you just love NYC and cannot imagine living anywhere else?
Oh, money is NOT a problem so you can move, buy a nice home and live very comfortably where your 'dream' place is.
Mine is in a nice country type town in New England for part of the Summer/Fall and then somewhere else for the Winters/Spring. Not sure where yet. I must think about it.

Florence, Italy... A nice city, yet calmer than NYC...
And I am in love with Italian Language, it always sounds that Italians sing, even when they argue!!!

This one is so easy - one of the beautiful huge landmark brownstones in my area (Park Slope Brooklyn). Drool, drool...
I love NY, would have A LOT of trouble leaving.

Re: Where is your dream place to live?
My dream house ... I should say, the one that I hope Rob and I will aspire to ... is a beautiful Victorian in East Williston (the next town over) ... I just love it there!
Sorry, my dream place is so boring ... but hey, I can't picture myself leaving NY!

Positano!
(or Englewood, NJ - probably a little more realistic!)

Re: Where is your dream place to live?
My dream place to live is a small town in the White Mountains in New Hampshire, during spring, summer and fall (which is so beautiful it defies description). Winter probably Florida. This actually is our plan for the future. We have been looking for a piece of land to buy in NH within the Mount Washington Valley area. The area we are looking in is far enough away from the mainstream to have privacy and within 15 miles of a large city with all the amenities. Perfect.

London! I would KILL to get a transfer there! I love the people there and it is so easy to travel around Europe from there.

Re: Where is your dream place to live?
I agree with Heatherand Nick...any beach view house would be my ideal, with big glass windows, and my master bedroom and bath would have frech doors with a balcony overlokking the ocean

Another beachfront lover here.
I'd most likely want to stay in our same area. I'd love a house on Center Island or in Oyster Bay Cove.

Re: Where is your dream place to live?
Cira - my DH LOVES East Williston...he makes references here and there about 'when' we're able to afford a house - hmmmm, not sure if that's a reality
If money were no option, I'd probably pick a few gorgeous towns in Nassau as well...! Then maybe a summer/vacation home in Hawaii

Re: Where is your dream place to live?
On the beach with a huge wrap around deck with amazing patio furniture where I could just sit outside, sip my coffee and listen to the ocean on my own private beach. That would be heaven on earth for me!

Teri ... that's funny! Rob and I both love E. Williston, and I always refer to it too, as if our next house will be there. Let's dream and hope!

Re: Where is your dream place to live?
I wouldn't want to live New York either, but I'd move to one of the really prime areas of the North Shore. Somewhere overlooking the water on about 5 acres of land with a private beach and a spot to moore a boat.
Then I'd have an identical place on the West Coast for when it gets too cold to be here.
