Ok it is one month and I still have my poor dress rolled up in a big garbage bag, I am ashamed to say. I guess I should dryclean it or preserve it or something??? Where is a good place to do this and how much should it cost? THanks!!! (hanging my head in shame for how I treated my poor dress!!))

I am using www.wedclean.com for $100.
Sonicstef sent her dress to them too and she said she would let me know the results when it came back.

Tons of girls on Weddingchannel have used wedclean and loved them. I am going to also use them.

I dont have my dress back yet so I cant speak to the quality but here is my experience thus far.
a) ordered the preservation kit and it came fairly quickly
b) sent my dress to them
c) several weeks passed, i heard nothing
d) Never got the promised email that should come when they received my dress. I called and emailed them numerous times and did not hear back.
e) Freaked! Sent another email and left frantic voicemail.
f) got an apologetic voicemail from the company stating they had my dress and it was on its way back to me. They said they had never received my other emails voicemails (i find this hard to believe) but at least they accepted responsibilty.
I should have my dress soon so I can speak to the job they do.
Most of the girls on WC were very happy with them, but there were 1 or 2 complaints listed as well.

I just got my 'kit' to send my dress to them. Of course Stef's post just made my stomach drop Stef, I am glad it's on the way back to you.

I took it to my local cleaners who specialize in wedding dresses. They are called Romanos and are based in Whitestone. It cost me $250 and is scheduled to arrive in the Spring time.

I also took mine to my local cleaner in Selden. It cost me $150 for my dress, veil, and gloves.
