Where to have my 30th B-Day party?

I cannot decide if I want a rooftop bar or a club in nyc.

I want to have a place that has music, however I want to be able to speak and hear myself think. LOL

any suggestions will help

there's a rooftop bar on 5th in midtown that DH went to on his bachelor party and he loved it

Was it 230 Fifth Ave? We went last year for DH's 30th b-day so I want some place different. I still like the idea of a rooftop.

Theres also Gansevoort, they have a rooftop. Also Thompson hotel has a great rooftop lounge, usually you have to stay at the hotel to go but sometimes they do let ppl in even if you're not staying there.

just depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking to get tables and do bottle service or just go there without doing that

well most clubs you have to get 2 bottles and its $300 each bottle so usually in the city its $600 for a table, and for the bigger clubs this is definitely the case. I know Marquee has a 4 bottle minimum and then some places will have bottles for less but probably not a big club.

There is the rooftop at the Shelbourne hotel (Rare View)
There is also the Delancey on the Lower East Side.
