DH and I were going to go to Bob's back in October and buy bedroom furniture when our wedding money, when we realized we had to redo our heating system and the money was re-allocated.
So now DH had a stock his grandfather bought him when he was 10 that split and he wants to sell it and use it to buy our bedroom furniture. We actually have more money to play with then we would have before.
We are trying to decide if we should still go to Bobs. I have heard that the furniture only lasts a few years and I hate to spend a ton of $ on furniture we will have to replace in a few years.
Who has had good experience with Bobs? A bad one?
Where else should we search for slightly higher quality bedroom furniture?

i laid on it in the store for literally 30 minutes-- we didn't get it delivered yet because we're still waiting to close :) but ill let you know-- for the money (compared to a tempur pedic) it was too good to pass up plus you have a 30 day try it period!!

I looked for bedroom sets ALL OVER!!!!! I didnt care for bobs quality to be honest... I wanted a set that would last for a good # of years... I wound up buying an ashley set that im waiting on... I bought through a company in NC ... MUCHHHHHH cheaper... we saved ourselves about 1k on it... And you're getting it direct from NC so it wont take as long to ship... highpointfurnituresales.com

I think I'm going to give in though because it's amazing stuff.
I'd rather spend money on really good furniture now then buy crappy now & then have to rebuy again down teh road. Go for it. The Door Store is expensive but my furniture is made extremly well & its well worth it.

I totally agree - I still have my bedroom set that I had custom made 20 years ago - its in great shape but I'm bored of it and DH isn't a huge fan of it.
I think I'm just afraid that I'll want to change in a couple of years and DH and I will feel like 'we spent all this money......'

Have you had any problems? DH & I bought a bedroom set there a few weeks ago, but we're not getting it delivered until we move - so im crossing my fingers all goes well!
