which is better - Can Cun or Bahamas cruise in December?

which is better - Can Cun or Bahamas cruise in December?

DH and I want to go away for Christmas break -- we want to do it as cheaply as possible and have a nice vacation.

We found 2 pretty cheap options:

1. a Norwegian Cruiselines cruise that leaves out of South Carolina (we'd drive there) and goes to 3 Islands in the Bahamas as well as Port Canaveral in Florida.

2. The Flamingo Hotel in Can Cun.

Here are our reservations about each:
1. It might be cold on the cruise -- its only 62 degrees in SC, and the average in the bahamas is 72. Has anybody been to the bahamas in december?

2. The Flamingo Hotel is pretty cheap -- has anyone been there? We read pretty mixed reviews, we don't need 5 star accomodations, but don't want to stay at a dump either.

Any thoughts or opinions?

to me its cold in the Bahamas in december I was on that cruise but mine left from Port Canerval the ocean is cold the cruise ship is cold when you're on the decks. I'd do Mexico

Update: We are going to Mexico -- La Isla Mujeres. We booked it after being on orbitz for 3 hours trying to pick a hotel, and then when we finally did, our package was unavailable! We then called and spoke to someone and were able to get our package with a different flight, which was more expensive and annoying, but we are going to Mexico in 3 weeks!
