THANK YOU for posting this… I kept looking online to see where the closest office to me was and it told me Mineola… I’m in Plainview and the Melville one is 2 miles from my office!

I am going to try the one on Fulton Street in Brooklyn because it is open late on Thursdays.

Christine- you would go after work right - so if you get there at 6 and they close at 7 what time do they stop seeing people?

I live in Queens and I had to go to Jamaica bc that's the only office that issues new cards and name changes. Not sure which offices on LI handle it.

That's where I went too. I was there for about an hour or so but I also didn't go first thing in the morning. I don't think I got there until around 11 or 12.

I also had to go to the one in Jamaica. If you live in Queens you do not have a choice. We went at 7:15 a.m. so the parking was fine I have no idea what it would be like at a 'normal' time though, but I would assume pretty congested.
