Who is cooking for Hanukkah?

I put the brisket in the marinade last night. I am also making tsimmes and dessert-pears poached in red wine.

I'm not Jewish...but being German my mom would always make potato pancakes...and she would do this for their best friends at Hanukkah time...so I do this too...and DH's grandfather was Jewish...so I keep a little bit of his heritage in tact
