Who made it to work today??

After not even trying yesterday I cant believe I made it today...

took the LIRR to penn and the subway to brooklyn. 2 hours!!!!! was it worth it?

I'm at work. But this is my only day in this week and it's my last day at this position so I had to come in and clean out my desk and stuff.

I drove into the city instead of taking the train and it was DEF worth it. Although the city looks like cr@p.

I'm here. I came in yesterday too. The city is pretty much okay. I just wish the tourists would suck wind and die because they're slow and useless.

UGH! YES! The had a post on LIF about your vents of the blizzard. My vent was the snow has given the tourists a reason to extend their stay in NY and makes them doubly slow for some reason.



Moving on.... I was here yesterday, too. It's not that bad. I had to vault a few 3' banks of ice and snow but hey, I'm young and limber. The trains are still sloooooooow though- usually my train ride is 45 minutes but yesterday and this morning it was an hour and a half each way and that's only from Queens to Midtown!

LIRR to the city today was not at all an issue. Subways are fine. Life as usual.

1 million times better than yesterdays commute!

I'm here but I didn't make it yesterday (or of course Monday). I TRIED for 2 hours yesterday!!! I finally gave up. DH tried on Monday and after 2 hours of waiting for the bus he came home. Monday I woke up, looked out the window and went back to bed.

Yesterday was a disaster! I have an Escape so I was able to get around but EVERYONE was just parked in the middle of the road! Our streets haven't been plowed yet and I'm DREADING parking when I go home since DH took the garage (he drives stick and it DOES NOT work in the snow).

I drove in - 45 min door to door from Oceanside to midtown Manhattan. I just didn't want to deal with the LIRR today!

I'm here! Came yesterday too. Driving wasn't terrible yesterday and is better today. Parking is a bit tough but I managed. I grew up with an SUV for the snow in Canada and this is my first winter here that I'm driving and I'm so proud of my Honda Civic! It has been amazing in the snow!

yess!!!

i came in today. took a taxi cuz i didnt want to give up my precious parking spot. it took twice as long (1/2 hour as opposed to 15 minutes). I was SO lucky cuz they only blockage we encountered was right in front of my building, otherwise i probaly still would be in the taxi.

and no i dont plan on doing ANYTHING today

I live in Brooklyn & work in Manhattan. Worked yesterday & am at today. Took two hours each way. Honestly its not even worth it. There is nothing going on in my office. I would have rathered my boss tell me to stay home with no pay then have to commute these past two days.

made it into work today with no problem.

yesturday was the b*tch with roads not being plowed....people making their own traffic pattern on major streets and the LIRR changing their story every 10minues. made for an eventful morning which eventually lead to DH and I saying 'screw this, we're going home' lol

unfortunately I am... Train was 25 minutes late today, got in around 10 instead of 9, hoping its not to bad going home

Took me 2 hrs but I did...no way in hell yesterday waited hour and half and nuttin...I did go monday had work at 530 wat a mess thank god dh drove me to train with his sister truck if not I wouldn't have went only was 45 mins late that day...they still didn't plow my street tho

I didnt- I will be out the rest of the week. I killed my back shoveling Monday and I could barely move

My school was closed the past 3 days. I got an email they would be open tomorrow. SO back to work it is!
