Who moved out of state after their wedding??

I see quite a few people that have moved, and DH and I are thinking of it, and wanted to ask some questions.... (i.e. is it any easier than up here?!?!)

We go to Florida on Sept. 15th to look at some developments...

sorry to be on this side of the boards, but we are planning on leaving after we get married.... we are getting married nov 05 and want to have our house in the works by jan 06. we want to have one built in florida.... but i need to give my employer as much time as they need, because they mean so much to me! anytime u want to talk just fm me!

We did! 3 days after the wedding we moved to Miami

and we love it down here. We came on vacation many times and we decided that it was our best bet. Dh asked for a transfer (but found a better job here). We came in January and got the apartment, and was ready in May when we moved. We are already settled and very confortable, we are both working.
It is hard but it's a good change, it is cheaper down here and the weather is amazing all year long. We are buying a house in about 2 years

no down payment for first time buyers in Florida!

Thats what I was looking into.. I have my parents who jsut moved down in July...

We want to build a house.. we found the perfect house 5BR/2Ba/2carG... In a community for 160K.... It seems like a nice area... Not too far from where mom and dad are either...

We are going down Sept15th and I wanted to see if the cost of living really is what it seems down there vs. LI...

We did. We were married 5 months when we bought a house and moved to PA...something we didn't think was going to happen until after we were married for a year. We are lovin life right now!!!

we did! We moved from LI to GA 4 months after our wedding....we had that intention a year beforehand though....SO much easier down here!!!

I moved out of the COUNTRY!! It's hard, I miss my family so much....

but, we'll always be in an expensive city...can't really justify moving somewhere where are families are not.

We moved to Chicago. My husband left a month before the wedding and I joined him after the wedding. It was a hard adjustment, but we love it now!

We plan on moving down to Florida by the beginning of 2006 the lastest, after I have my first baby up here (I want to be near my family for my first pregnancy, so we plan to start trying by February).

I look on the Orlando Sentinel website almost every day to see how much houses are and what jobs are around.

we only moved to NJ so we didn't expect it to be much easier. Actually those cost of living calculators say the cost of living is higher where we are in NJ than on LI
