my grandmother paid for our RH but we had to paid for our vendors and everything eles. Man, all that money for one day that is long gone already

We paid for everything ourselves. We did get nice wedding gifts from both parents though.
same here..thank god for stock options! haha
Stock options paid for our wedding as well! Both our families gave us nice gifts to help but we paid for the bulk of it

We paid for everything on our own except my dress and the Rehearsal dinner. My mom bought my dress and DH's parents paid for the RD. We're so proud that we did it ourselves....especially at our age.

We did. My parents gave me a good chunk of money toward my gown, and my mom paid for my shower. Wish she hadn't, but it was a lovely gesture. My sister threw us the rehearsal/pool party (at which we didn't rehearse. ) the day before the wedding. And that's it, other than those that we paid for it ourselves, I don't miss the money. Yes, it was a significant outlay of money, but our wedding was a lot cheaper than the average Long Island one! We had a beautiful, meaningful wedding, and we have the rest of our lives to remember it.

My parents paid for half of the RH and my rehearsal dinner bbq and we paid the rest.
My mom also paid for me to have chair covers.

We paid 100% for the entire wedding from start to finish including the Rehersal Dinner, Dress, Flowers, Music, Church, Broadway Singers, DOC, Trumpet Players and all the extras including our Honeymoon and Our Engmt. Party/Coed Shower. It made us really be able to do whatever we wanted, with no flack from anyone. We saved and saved so we could have all we wanted our way...and enjoyed every minute of it.... Now we are proud to say we did it!!!
