Although I am not yet a newlywed I was hoping that you guys could help me out. I am going to Hawaii in August for my honeymoon and I was wondering where I should stay? I'm going to Kauai, Oahu, and Maui. I'd love to hear your suggestions...Hopefully then I could make up my mind. (Also, I'm looking to stay at places that don't have many kids...if thats possible). hi...i was in hawaii for my honeymoon and so were many other brides recently...if you do a search you will find very detailed info that we all posted regarding hotels, what to do, etc....hope this helps!

I went to Hawaii too. Stayed at Grand Wailea in Maui and Hyatt Regency in Kauai. Yes, definitely do a search. There has been lots of info posted lately about Hawaii in which many of us have responded and I even posted some pictures!

Whats your budget like? For my honeymoon I stayed at:
The Halekulani - Oahu (4 nights) Hyatt Regency - Kauai (3 nights) Four Seasons - Maui (4 nights)
Of these the one with the fewest children was the Halekulani (amazing hotel!!). The Hyatt had children, but the layout was very good and they did not bother us. The children bothered us the most at the Four Seasons.
These are among the more expensive hotels though... so I'm not sure if thats what you are looking for. If you have more detailed questions, let me know!

I went to Hawaii last August on my honemoon. We only went to Oahu (to see Pearl Harbor) and MAui. We stayed at the Hyatt in Maui. There were hardly any kids there. It was nice, but I thought th Hyatt in Aruba was much nicer. We didnt go to Kaui and we wish we did include that in our trip, but we didnt want to be hopping around so much. We kind of wanted to stay put and enjoy. People rave about the Hyatt in Kaui so I would definteley check there but there is a post on the bridal board about renovations there. I dont know how great that would be, but I would check it out!

I went to Kauai and Maui. I stayed at the Hyatt on both islands. The Hyatt on Kauai is gorgeous. On Maui, the Hyatt is great but not as stunning as on Kauai but for the money, I thought the Hyatt was a great choice for us.
I know people who have stayed at the Grand Waleia and the Kea Lani (sp) and the Four Seasons and Maui and have loved them. It really depends on you and what you are looking for.

We went to Maui and Kauai (and started out in Las Vegas). We stayed at the Hyatt at Kauai and the Fairmont Kea Lani in Maui. Both hotels were great. Beautiful and classy. There were some kids at both, but not so much that it bothered us at all. I think you will have more to worry about if your honeymoon falls during a school vacation. Let us know what you decide!
