I think they are hoping for some advice from people who have already had weddings, instead of other people planning, and are worried we don't check the BHB board.

Well, according to your profile, you're not married yet, so perhaps you can answer your own question J/K. Anyhow, I respond to things on the Newlywed side because they're always talking about such interesting 'grown up' things. If it bothers the newlyweds, I'll stop.

doesn't bother me to have non-newlyweds respond to posts, though brides staring posts over here bugs me when they repeat questions from BHB.

There was a time when this board was 'sacred' - no one posted over hear unless you were a newlywed (that's how it was when I was a bride), but I don't mind the change.

I am with Someday. Their is always such interesting topics going on over here. I love reading about everyone's homes (which gives me so many ideas for when mine is done), gardens, pets, or even things they did once they are married (name changes, morgages, etc..) which I take a lot of notes on because these are things I am going to need to know when I become an official newlywed.

Plus thanks to all the newlyweds when I talk to my friends that are getting married I tell them about things they should know and I look so smart

I don't mind those who aren't Newlyweds posting here, as long as they don't cause us no trouble!!

We have all the experience, so it doesn't hurt to ask the pros sometimes.....

I proberly will get yelled at for this but I do not like it when Non-newlyweds post on this board. I know that we discussed this before but it really bothers me. Sorry but I am very territorial!!!

I imagine it's to get away from all the weekly B.S., name calling and general cattiness that's on the BHB (it seems on a weekly basis there's some sort of high school drama going on over there...I don't remember it every being that bad when I was planning)

I don't mind that non-newlyweds post here either, as long as it remains low-key on this side and we all act like the 'grown-ups' we are.
I got out of high school 12 years ago...and I have no desire to get involved with any of that 'she said this' or 'she said that' 90210 bullsh*t.

Lisa Rose, I'm with you. However, if a bride wants to join in on general discussions (non-wedding related), that is fine. Also, if there is a bride with a specific question that only a newlywed can answer, we are here to help. However, if it's general questions for bands or photographers, I think it is improper for a bride to post here.

Personally, I really like the people who post on the Newlywed tab. I think it is because we are all at the same stage in life; the wedding is over and we moving on to bigger and better things. For me, the wedding was great but it pales in comparison to my future (i.e. houses, family, etc.)

90210 Good description on some of the BS we read about over here.

This has been hashed out recently so I don't want to redo all that, but I don't necessarily mind when brides pop over - AS LONG as it's not to ask a mundane wedding question reposted from BHB or to cause ANY kind of drama.

I love the topics discussed here - it's such a great source of knowledge, etc.

Yeah, we're low key and that's why we mostly avoid the BS drama all the time - we try and stay out or rise above it

I don't mind when a bride posts here. Afterall the Newlyweds post on BHB. Why should we get technical? Afterall, we are all women who are either going through or have gone through a major event in life. The more people who post, the more opinions you get, which is a good thing - as long as it is clean!
