Why I Love DH

Why I Love DH

So today I got really depressed. I am so frustrated that I am not really working, not getting calls for sub jobs and not really contributing financially to our household. Add to it the shear boredom of being home alone. Thank god for Tivo. So I just got off the phone with DH. Within seconds on the phone with him I was in tears. He could be so upset that he is basically working 3 jobs and I am doing nothing. Instead he is so supportive and worried about me and how I am feeling. He doesn't want me take a waitress or store job because we won't see each other at all (since he is in CT Mon-Thurs). He would rather try to support us himself then not see me. Within seconds on the phone he was making me laugh and telling me how much I contribute to our marriage, even if its not monetary. Then he told me we should move up our puppy date and get a puppy sooner rather then in the Spring so I will have something to do all day. I told him we can't afford one, but he said he will work it out. He is so sweet. He always reminds me why I married him.

Wow..it's almost like we really ARE twins! I am going throught the same exact thing and have been SO down about being out of work, not being able to even get a sub job - much less anything else that would bring in the same $ as unemployment or better. It's SOOOOO frustrating & depressing. This is the 1st time in 9 years that I havent worked because there is a lack of teaching jobs, much less any kind of office job I may be qualified for. It $ucks! I did get a call though yesterday to come in for an interview tomorrow for a subbing position in the next town over. So my fingers are crossed & hoping that even some p/t subbing will help alleviate these crummy feelings. We are both lucky & blessed to havd DH's that love & support us no matter what!

I am on sub lists, but they never call. Its frustrating because I have two masters degrees and no jobs. I made a lot of wrong decisions regarding my career choices. The big one was thinking the film industry was a good place for me and wasting 5 years of my life and a tuition for an MFA (though I did get to work at the Cannes Film Festival). I just finished school to change to education, so I don't even get unemployment. I have a big $0 income.

Though I am hoping to do some video editing freelance, but nothing is happening with that yet either.
