Work Clothes

I'm totally depressed with my work wardrobe and want to spice it up a bit. I'm a manager in a pretty conservative office so I definitely need to dress professional. I've been to Roosevelt Field, Walt Whitman, etc. and haven't found much of a selection (it's all 12 year old beach slut garbage or old lady moo-moos) Anyway, I'm looking for advice. Where do you shop for work clothes?

i also get a lot of my work clothes at New YOrk and Company. i'm super short, and they are the first place that i've found that has dress pants that actually fit me without needing any alterations... PLUS, if you get on their e-mail list, they are always sending out coupons...

I can't beleive all the 'Ann Taylor' responses. Never went in the store, always thought they looked too pricey but now I'll definitely check them out. Am I better off going to the outlets in Riverhead then Roosevelt??? Thanks again for the advice

the Ann Tatlor outlets have GREAT deals!! Also Ann Taylor Loft is different than Ann Taylor... the Loft seems to be a bit less expensive... but both places have great sales when you hit them at the right time!

Sometimes Kohls - but thats WAY hit or miss...

I love Banana Republic - and in the fall, Limited sells some nice suits sometimes.... I bought a nice maroon one a few years ago that I always get compliments on....
