Work Health Insurance???

Are you both still under your own or are you both under one?

Do you really save a lot if you are both under one?

I haven't researched this yet and am just curious.

Thx.

Re: Work Health Insurance???

We're under mine because DH was unemployed when we got married.

Trying to research for 2005 but it's so hard to compare which plan is best coverage for best price ...

Us too. We both had United Healthcare also, but DH's plan was a bit better than mine .. so I dropped mine and am now on his

so I knew I could keep the same doctors but get better coverage for prescriptions , which helps out a lot

Re: Work Health Insurance???

We're on each other's insurance- DH has The Empire Plan (gov't employees) and I have Healthnet/Guardian. Both plans are fairly good so we decided to keep both.

Re: Work Health Insurance???

We are also under mine right now - which is Cigna.

But that will change again next year sometime, then who knows what we'll have! Stupid healthcare cost increases.

Re: Work Health Insurance???

I went under my DH's. With his union he could add me on for $16 more a week for me to have medical, dental & vision coverage. It was much more $$$ if I were to add him to mine.

Re: Work Health Insurance???

We were both with Oxford but I had more options and mine was cheaper for the basics so he's on mine.

Since he works for an independent employer, dropping his insurance actually means a little more salary on top of the savings. It's only 3 of them and the other one is under her hubby's plan so now the owner only has to cover basically himself. Saves money and in turn means we get the kickback.
