My boss is like that. For the most part I just snap back or ignore him as much as I can. When he does it (and its often) I usually give him an attitude and he backs off....

So I say give it back to her!!

seriously that's so unprofessional. who is HER boss? I have the best boss(es) ever.... I think working with men can just be easier. I got a lot less respect from any women bosses i ever had, so i unfortunately never had a women role model at work.

but that's crap, she can't treat you like that. I would say something if it's getting really out of hand. even to her first - before going to her boss and complaining.

sorry that she is treating you like that- is it possible that her boss is riding her- thats usually what causes that kind of thing

That sounds like my life. I am sorry. I really know how much that can suck. I always remind myself this 'This is just my job, this is not my life.' I repeat that in my head when I am upset or pissed at work. It seems to help me. Also when I think of doing extra like a shmoo and I always do so much more than I need to I say this 'F*ck It. They don't do crap for me!' That reminds me not to sacrafice my personal life for the **** hole that is my job.

I agree. In my experience I have found that I don't like working for women. I don't know what it is. It's almost as tho they're trying to compensate for not being a man or something. Like they're trying too hard to PROVE themselves and take on more authority than what is actually needed. What's with that? Just be a good boss and treat your employees with respect. Nobody cares if their superior is male or female - as long as you do the job with professionalism and genuine kindness. I don't understand why that is so hard to understand.

thank you guys.. my internet was down for the past hour or so, i couldn't log back in..

i know her boss (our boss) pounds on her.. and she is constantly trying to prove something i feel.. and you guys right with the whole male and female thing..

i've moved around a lot in the past 4 years.. so i just don't want to move right now, because it looks like i am always jumping from one to another and especially in this economy.. sigh.. thank you for all the loving.. i have a professional masters and a certification, so just to go through this is the worst feeling.. blah.. thank you

I don't have it in me to give it back to her.. I wish I did.. just lay it out.. I'm very mellow when it comes to relationships at work and especially with my superiors and my subs - only because you never know how the cookie will crumble like 5 years from now..

and i need to work.. i know we all do.. but i can't make myself to come to point where i feel strong or confident enough to talk back.. because then it will get worse.. or i that's what i think..
