Would this be terrible?

Would this be terrible?

I picked out a sort of unusual e-ring- it has a round stone and the ring itself has both white and yellow gold. At he time, I loved it and I still do, but I sort of wish I had a simple, plain setting. I feel like it would showcase the stone more. Then maybe I would get the setting re-set with another stone. I thought if/when we have kids it might be nice to get the baby's birthstone in my e-ring setting.

I haven't said anything to DH- he said he wants to get me jewelry for our first anniversary, but I don't really want jewelry.

What do you think?

I think it would be ok but I would just question it so soon after the wedding... maybe a few years down the road.

Did you pick out your e-ring or did he? I think that makes a difference. If you did he might wonder if you are going to change your mind again.

I have a plain simple round solitare on a white gold band for my e-ring. I got it for that exact reason. At the time I didn't know what I wanted in a wedding band and that setting goes with everything. Actually, a lot of older women complimented me on it because they said it's so classic and versatile. some of them had rings as part of a set and they feeel like they HAVE to wear them together etc.
