DH's best friend is dating a girl for years now. We hung out twice. She's okay but we never hang out. I dont really like the way she treats the guy but whatever, not my business. Not sure what her deal is. Years ago when DH and I didnt know each other he was dating this girl and the four of them apparently hung out all the time.
Fast forward to today and DH gets a call from friend who says he's proposing. Great for him if hes happy. Well, the proposal idea is this...
He's taking her to the local bar where he met her. DH and his ex-gf were there when they met. The friend wants to have cardboard cutouts of the people who were there to recreate the day they met. So he wants a cardboard cutout of my husband and his ex -gf at the proposal ..

I mean its def a cute idea... Thats seems like a great proposal although it is a little awkward that your dh and his ex were there.. I guess I would be a little weird about it but I kinda think its a different way to propose and I get his way of doing it.. Just dont know if I would like it if I were you either This is a toughie

The whole cardboard cutout idea is just...terrible. It's original and unique, yes. But the whole thing is just kinda creepy.
But if he must go through with such a dismal idea, it wouldn't bother me that one was the ex.
Because it'd mean that I wouldn't have to see my doppelganger in cardboard cutout form.
