Would you be ok with this menu if you went to a party?

For my Dad's 60th surprise party...I picked the menu, and *I* think it sounds good (and my Dad will love it)...but I like all of these foods (some of them are maybe a little 'different' I guess)? If you went to a party, would you be content with this food:

Open bar throughout

Cocktail Hour:
-Rouladen of beef w/ spaetzle
-Baked clams
-Spare ribs
-Seafood ala Newburg
-Kielbasa
-Veal Marsala
-Meatballs
-Potato pancakes w/ apple sauce
-Lamb stuffed with veal
-Chopped chicken livers
-Marinated herring
-Fruits
-Cheeses
-Vegetables
-Pasta station
-Shrimp cocktail

Salad before dinner

Entree choices:
-Swordfish
-Prime Rib
-Sauerbraten
-Jaeger Schnitzel

served w/ potatoes and vegetables

Dessert:

2 cakes

i might consider just adding a chicken entree for those that have chicken as the default

otherwise, i think there is enough variety for people to pick stuff they like/know, and try others....

You know your guests better then I do but I would probably not eat a whole lot at the party. First, do you have any vegitarians coming? They won't have much to eat. I'm good with the open bar though! :) And I'm a picky eater I guss but I would eat the following and that's it...

Entree choices:
-Prime Rib (but only because I had to order something...it's the only one I would pick out but not really enjoy)

But like I said, I'm a picky eater so you might not be able to go by me...

Its absolutely great -

I would make sure the venue could do a veggie entree, but there is plenty of variety.

Then I think its perfect! Its a German restaurant and people will expect alot of those types of foods.

As a chicken lady, I agree. Otherwise, it sounds good.

ya, I was gonna say to add a chicken entree. I dont eat red meat or pork, so I would be looking for the chicken entree!

Otherwise, sounds yummers!

I agree with the above....I would add a chicken dish...... but otherwise it sounds yummy!!

There are so many different types of appetizers I think everyone would be satisfied! I know I'm prety picky and could find a few things I'd like.

As for the entree i agree with the chicken or even a vegetarian dish. Nothing there looked appealing to me.

As a vegetarian, I'd have nothing to eat for an entree so definitely add a vegetarian main course.

I think this menu is perfect! I had a chicken option at my wedding, and wish I didn't--I felt like it was a waste of a dish because almost no one ordered it.
