I doubt it, unless the party was for me! I am pretty organized and have thrown my own parties and done a good job, so I don't think I would.

Yes, I might depends on the party. Maybe if it was a surpise for FH I would because I would not be able to do a lot with out him finding out

I think it depends on the scale of the party-- and what the planner would charge for their time. But planners are helpful in locating hard to find items, as well as coordinating when you can't--

I would!!! After planning my wedding, I really don't want to plan anymore parties.

I told DH, hire Laura from LA Productions (she was my day of coordinator) for anything else related to parties (showers, birthdays, etc...) in the future.

Probably not. After planning our wedding on my own I think I could take on planning another party and probably enjoy it!!

Possibly for a long distance event, like if we were doing a destination vow renewal or something, but I'd probably try to do it myself first, with internet research.

Yeah, I probably would, but only for them to do little things. Like when my kids have their b'nai mitzvah parties, I'll have them run things the day of so I can relax, you know?

But I enjoy the planning aspect so much I'd do most of the actual planning myself.

nah, it's too late for that now. I've already done all of the 'planning' for that.

But, it was SO HARD doing things and trying to keep them secret from him

Nah. I enjoyed planning my wedding as stressful as it was. I figure another party would only be easier.

Just last night I told DH that I wanted to have another big party! lol I had so much fun planinng our wedding that I look forward to another big event to plan - but that won't be for a while.

same here and as Anti-planning as i was, i loveeeee doing it. Right now im planning my Grandfathers 75th surprise party (which we just decided to have And are having it next month, and on a Tiny budget)... But, im excited about having a party to plan again and making it personal and special for him-- oh, and finding Great deals.. thats my favorite part of planning

i would actually LOVE to be an event/party planner... for everything EXCEPT weddings!!!! i dont want to deal with crazy brides

oh, so no, i wouldnt hire one

only if I had oodles of money and didnt want to be bothered with doing it myself. I cant think of a reason I would ever NOT want to be a part of planning, so no
