Would you recommend your DJ?
I don't know if this is proper newlywed board etiquette or not. but I was looking for advise and suggestions regarding djs (perhaps djs and a singer)please let me know price ranges, what you asked at the meetings, or anything you may think would be helpful in finding one!!!
Thanks so much

Re: Would you recommend your DJ?
I loved my DJ - he isn't well known - But I used Dance Party Disc Jockeys - someone from my DH's work recommended him - we had used him for his uncles 50th b-day - he was awesome - he had music that fit the crowd - So we asked him about weddings, we didnt know - (we thought he only did little parties!) But he was really wonderful - he charged us $1000 - was with us for 6 hours - ceremony and reception - kept everyone on the dance floor the WHOLE night!!! We had a blast - he even surprised us with cd favors with our picked songs on it.

I loved my DJ - Let Us Entertain You. Bill and Frank are wonderful people. They played everything that I asked them to and at one point almost all my guests were on the dance floor.

Re: Would you recommend your DJ?
I adored out DJ...he was really great. his only screw up was that his MC started a Conga line & we didn't want one, but it ended up to be funny anyway as some of our more soused guests conga'd with our centerpieces on their heads
He was Mike from Castle Entertainment Lakeland Road Islandia. I don't have his # with me but FM me if you are interested.
His packages including CH range from $1800 - $4000 depending on all the extras & such.

Re: Would you recommend your DJ?
I liked my DJ Bill from the Pros....but he did mix up a few things...and instead of Norah Jones 'Come Away with Me' for our last dance, he played her other popular song...i forget the name....and so my DH and I were on opposite ends of the room and didnt realize..and then the wedding was just - OVER!
I was so mad. I would never ever ever ever recommend the Pros for video and photo to anyone. What a disaster!

Re: Would you recommend your DJ?
I would. We used Big Hits DJ (www.1800bighits.com). They were great to work with and had everyone dancing at our wedding. We paid about $2000 w/giveaways but w/o lights.

Re: Would you recommend your DJ?
In the Mixx. Donnie was our DJ although we met Phil a few times too (more because he was there every time we went in and chatted with him) and liked him too. Jack is the 3rd DJ, only met him once. All were really nice and Donnie rocked. Our guests danced from the beginning to the end.I forget how much but it was reasonalbe and totally worth it.

Re: Would you recommend your DJ?
Definitely would recommend mine - DJ Glenn Passarelli from WGJP Sounds. We didn't want any giveaways or video screens or smoke machines, or an MC who becomes the center of attention - just good music and good mixing. That's what we got for a very reasonable price.Welcome New Vendors
