WW- core vs flex points?

WW- core vs flex points?

Weight watchers has worked really well for me two times before- the points plan. But I've been trying to lose the weight I've gained since the wedding (about 10 lbs ) by doing the same again- counting points- and it's not working AT ALL this time, no matter HOW strict I am with it! The scale isn't budging. And I've been trying for a couple month. Not sure why!!

Has anyone done the core plan? How was your experience? I don't know anything about how it works so any info is appreciated!

TIA!

I did points very successfully a few years ago but gained some back when I stopped. My friend did Core and had success with it, so if you think you can follow it you should try it out! Maybe your body just needs something different to jumpstart the weight loss so even if you don't decide to stay on it, you could at least try it for a few weeks!

I recently switched to core after struggling for a while with flex. I was so anti-core but I needed to do something. If you stick to it, like I did for the first few weeks, the pounds came right off but if you stray a little, like I did this week, I'll be up. I do think it's easier than flex though, it's just that your very limited on snacks which is my major vice - hence the need for ww.

I've done both for long periods at a time. I really like Core b/c I generally enjoy eating whole/less processed foods. It helped me lose the last few lbs before wedding. It just gets tough with my many work events--where I don't have control over the menu.
I also gained 10 lbs post wedding. I recommitted to WW in late March (again) and have lost 9 of the 10 lbs. I started alternating 2-3 weeks of flex, followed by 2-3 weeks of Core. I like it b/c I get the best of both worlds and also, just when I'm starting to get a little sloppy on one plan, I feel like I get a renewed sense of commitment when I start the other plan. It's been working for me. As I near my original lifetime goal weight, I may do core long-term for maintenance.
Jess, maybe you should try core for a few weeks. It might be a jump-start for you. If you don't like it, you can go back to flex or if you miss certain things on flex, try switching (which is totally okay in WW eyes as long as you do week to week--not switch mid-week).
