WWYD: Coworker and the dress code

A coworker of mine is wearing an absolutely ridiculous outfit today. Her skirt has side slits up her thighs her shirt is tight and sometimes her stomach shows. We can wear skirts passed the knee. This clearly isn't. I mean this is RIDICULOUS. Yesterdays outfit was bad but not like this.

I don't care what anyone wears, but this I was at.

Another coworker of mine is thinking of saying something to hr. She asked me waht I thought of her outfit and I said it is completely unappropriate.

Would you say something to HR?

What kind of work do you do? Is it something that involves her meeting customers or clients at all? If so, I would DEFINITELY report it....if she works internally only, not sure if I would care enough to say anything....maybe you should report her to What Not to Wear!

I'd say something, but that's just me. In my job now, if I see a staffer or intern dressed inappropriately, I send them home to change. I think it brings down the entire office when someone doesn't follow a policy or keep up with the standards.

Unless this person reported to me I would not say anything. It's not my job to tell people what they can and can't wear. I'm sure it doesn't go unoticed anyway but really reporting them won't win you any friends. Also you never know who is friends with who. I say worry about yourself, do your own work and let the supervisors worry about the other people.

I would say something. In my old job, I had to wrote people up that violated the dress code, especially the people in the reception area that greeted clients and customers.
