x post facebook friends with inlaws?

I posted this on 09 but thought I might repost here . .

so both FIL and his wife have asked me to be their FB friends and I just don't want to. . I don't feel like I want them to see all my pics/updates etc but what do I do? Do I ignore their requests? We NEVER talk if they are not in town and that is seldom so it's not like it will come up in conversation but what do I do? DH is friends with them but it just feels WRONG for me. .

advice? To FB or not to FB ?

I would try to be polite and say you'd rather not b/c you dont go on there very frequently. There are relatives of mine that wanted to FB w/ me since I created an acct after our wedding - but there are cousins of mine where we do not see eye to eye politically...& I just dont want them shoving their political propaganda down my throat through FB - it's bad enough I have to hear it from them in person or receive regular emails from them...

So I told them that I am too busy on other sites (LIW...lol) and hardly ever go on FB.

HTH in some way.

hmmm thanks girls. . I guess I can always add them and then not let them see anything. .I am bad at FB but someone just told me I can have them on and block them from seeing me (but then do they know they are blocked?)

And sadly they are on a LOT. they love the computer and on-line things so would be ALL OVER it. .. weird. ..
