it's really disheartening. And also proof that everybody is beautiful no matter what shape. If it doesn't bother them and they have great confidence and self esteem then why should it bother you!

I was watching Oprah's show the past 2 days and it was so sad. They had overweight teens on the show and most of them were suicidal and so depressed, i felt horrible. They talked about how much they were teased in school, it was so sad to see

and i had wanted to post a thread about this but i dont think all parents are to blame but some have to take responsibility. One mother on the show yesterday PISSED me off so much. They had a guy on there that wrote a book called 'eat this not that' he compared 2 things and told audience to guess what was better and i was shocked by some of it. He said to get swiss not cheddar, and out of everything him and Dr. Oz said one mother of the teens raised her hand and said 'well not everybody can buy swiss cheese instead of cheddar, its more expensive' now heres the thing, they showed video of the teens eating breakfast, lunch and dinner, sort of a food diary. The same mother who asked that question had ice cream in the house, donuts, all this junk food. How about not buying that and buy the swiss, youll save in the end anyways. Plus they showed her son was addicted to video games and oprah made a great point, she said how about sacrificing and buying him less video games and using that money to buy healthy food

actually i think ill make a separate thread lol

wasnt it so frustrating, i mean if money is an issue i think everyone can understand that but not like he was telling you to buy filet mignon or lobster for dinner. He said swiss cheese thats all, and you cant sit there and say you cant afford that when you have all this junk food in the house and buy your son videogames. That's the problem! When someone like her is being made fun of and is being considered 'fat', what perception does an averaged sized or chunky girl have of herself then?

He's a piece of sh*t! I feel really badly for her. She may have put on a few pounds, but the outfit really was just not flattering for her...she is by no means fat! There's going to be a whole new generation of girls with eating disorders! Everything is just so out of control.

She was probably on the defense on when she said that. I bet she was realll sorry she said that...left her wide open for criticism. Yes, it can be costly to have more healthy food in the house, but I really don't think swiss can be that much more than cheddar...really don't know.

You are so right. Why buy all the crap? I always shop the sales at supermarkets and don't buy the junk. It's not like the guy was saying to go organic!

DH actually showed me pictures of Jessica Simpson from a concert and while it was clear she gained weight she still looked healthy and happy. I was SHOCKED when DH said she got fat and was fatter than me (he didn't use the words fatter than you.. I said 'she's still skinnier than I am' and he disagreed). First off, I think she looked fine. I may have wore a different pair of jeans (rocking a lil camel toe) but otherwise she looked fine.

I think its DISGRACEFUL that the media jumps on this young celebrities for not being a size 0!! First off, 0 isn't a size it's 0... eat a freakin hamburger (I'm sorry for girls on here who are a 0 but its INSANE to me that there is such a thing).

I'm a size 14/16. At my largest (when I was on steroids for health issues) I was a size 20/22. At my smallest I was an 8/10. Keep in mind, I'm 5'2'. I'm chunky now but I'm comfortable. I'd love to be a size 12 again, but at 8/10 I was TOO skinny. Sickly looking.

Not everyone is supposed to be a size 2. We are all different heights with different bone structures and body types.

Sure, she's gained a few (who hasn't?), but the only thing wrong in these pics are her ugly asss jeans

The second pic still looks like she is wearing an ill fitting outfit...maybe she gained a little weight but she has curves, big busted and isnt meant to be stick skinny...

Someone said this was a publicity stunt with her crazy *** dad I wouldnt be surprised

BUT WHO CARES?!?!?!!!!! lol i'm sorry - i don't mean that in regards to you at ALL...i just mean it in general! EVERYONE fluctuates from time to time. why do people care who loses & who gains weight??? I really don't get why they print this stuff..they're not making a statement.. it's just cruel and it infuriates me...unless she's doing it on purpose for the attention of publicity.. it's just stupid to me.
