x-post: ? on thank you's

I meant to post it here originally but accidentally posted on the 08 board :

Is february too long to wait to send out thank you's if my wedding was in september? I'd like to get them out sooner but I won't have my proofs until january (I think, it could be longer) and I'm not happy with the sample thank you my photographer sent me. Should I suck it up and just order the sample thank you they sent me?

Wait I'M confused...you wont have any prints until January?? Why is it so long?? Do they have them digitally?

If you wont have proofs until then I think Feb is fine...if you dont like the one they sent you , you should wait till you can pick one you like

I'm not sure. My photographer is known to take a long time. I think it's because they touch up each individual picture and we're getting over 1000. They do have them digitally. Thanks for your response :)

you have up to a year to send out thank yous. today would be 6 months and we are sending them out tomorrow if possible.

thanks. I knew we had up to a year but you know how people get. All nosy and want to know where their thank you's are, bleh.

January will be 4 months for you. I wouldn't worry about it. I only started getting questions last week. I am being pestered more about doing parent albums - even though we gave them a dvd of pictures.
