taking out my parents who paid for the reception

when I add it all up and divide by guests we received about $100 per person...but that is also with 10 children attending and a few stiffers...

without them it was about $115 pp

we had 225 guests and received ~$20-25K, thats not including gifts from our parents /contributions to the wedding. With those included, it was more like $40K.

All I know is I must have the wrong job, the wrong husband and the wrong family- I don't know where all this $$ comes from

We paid $100 PP (plus tax/gratuity) for approx 150 people (10 of which were kids 18 and under- obviously they didn't give us a gift)...

We received about $16k in gifts cash from the wedding.

BUT our entire wedding was paid for by my parents- which in & of itself was a gift- and that was a pretty penny.

Not including what DH's parent's gave us...paid for reception. We ended up with about $7000, that was with 110 people at the wedding.

We had 225 exactly and received between 30-40k... the average for us was $200 as well, a lot of VERY generous gifts in between though.

We had 175 people and got btwn $20 - $25K. We had a bunch of people give non-monetary gifts, a few that gave nothing. I'd say most people gave $150. There were family and friends who were extremely generous and gave over $300.
