I only did Depo Provera for like 2 years a long time ago; I wasn't on BCPs, they didn't agree with me. As far as I'm aware you shouldn't just 'stop' BC altogether, it can really mess with your goods...
But hopefully one of the BC-smarties can chime in with something helpful????

I just got back on them. I stopped a few months ago because I have terrible anxiety episodes and when they trigger, I need to get off BC. BC kinda puts me on edge so it doesnt help when anxiety kicks in. My period was pretty regular when I stopped. It came almost exactly a month apart.

I stopped recently...mainly because I am a degenerate and never got a new prescription...it really messed with me and I totally regret it...I am going to stay off for a while now I think now that my system is a little more normal.

I was taken off them almost 3 years ago when they discovered I have a clotting disorder. It took 3 months for my cycle to regulate. I used the fertility awareness method until we were ready to ttc. I will start temping again once I get my pp af.

I stopped BC about 3 months ago now. My period was regulated immediately and has been since. I was lucky that way.
I stopped because I was just sick of being on them. (I had been on them for 10 years) Plus, we want to start TTC late this year so I wanted to make sure my 'system' was back to normal by then.

I have had anxiety episodes every now and then and have been on the pill for 10 years now. I never realized the two could be connected. Has the anxiety stopped or gotten better since you've been off the BC?

I just recently stopped. Not for any particular reason other than I was less than responsible in taking them so I was spotting and such.

I'm seriously considering getting an IUD. I used to be on the patch and loved it but with the couple of deaths that I heard about, made me nervous.

Ive heard the two could be connected especially since BC messes with your hormones. I do feel a difference in my attitude when Im on the pills. Things tend to affect me more when Im on them whereas when Im off them I feel a little more at peace.

i stopped taking bcp in dec.
i wasn't even on them that long ( maybe 4/5 yrs tops?!) i just didnt want them in my system anymore.

fortunately enough, i used to have major cramps before i startred taking bcps, and of course once i went on them i had virtually no cramps, and now that i am off, i have mild cramps.

i stopped a little over a week ago. I only went on them for 2 months cus I was due on my wedding day and then my dress wouldnt have fit and I would have had it for the beginning of my honeymoon.

this is why I want to stop them. Not to be nosey, but are you guys TTC? We are not at the moment, but DH thinks that since we will be sometime in the near future I should stop them now.

I am still on them, so obviously not TTC, but I heard you should be off them for 3 months before TTC. I'm not sure how true this is. I figured when I am ready to TTC I would discuss all this with my gyno.
