If she ever said it again or tried to spread the rumor I would tell her that he wonders why people have to start rumors...I guess when you have nothing going on in your own life you have to create drama in other peoples lives...I guess she is miserable and wants others to be as miserable as she is.

I would tell him to come up with a witty comeback to put her in her place

she is prob just jealous she doesnt have friends who she can chat with during the day making her job extremely boing so needs to make up gossip to entertain herself!!!

if i were your DH i would play it up when she is around!!! obvi nothing is going on if your DH is telling you the whole story! dummy! she needs to get a life!
