Re: How do I handle this... advice needed before 2:00

You should definitely go to your boss and see about having a conference with your boss and the two moms. There is nothing unprofessional about keeping a bully away from his victim.

If you do conference with the 'duke it out' mom, make sure you have someone else sit in with you. It sounds like you'd be well served to have witnesses.

i dont know the story AT ALL

but when you talk to your boss i would start with the mother wanting the other kid to fight. dont start the story with the racial issues just yet. because it can sound confusing. start with the important stuff about
(1) a possible fight, and
(2) a mother calling your unprofessional

lots of the rest is petty stupid ignorant stuff on the part of the parents

if for some reason your boss still doesnt 'get it'...then i would give more background about what has been going on

as i said, i really dont know the story. so if this is not good advice. PLEASE DISREGARD

Seriously!!

How did you find out about the mother telling the son to 'Duke it out.' though? That might be seen as gossiping or unreliable info- whether it's true or not.

Maybe you should just say to your boss that you are afraid that these kids are going to get into a fight especially because one in particular won't stay away from the other.

I'd definitely request to sit down with your boss and the two moms.

Tell your principal everything. If I were you I would even write it down because I bet you'll get flustered and emotional and lose track of all the important things to tell him/her. Good luck!

They know about the racial issues that I've had with her already. Thank god.

I dont see it as unprofessional for us to keep the children apart I feel like it is the right thing to do? I think that is how I am going to explain it. My partner is just as angry because what two teachers will say 'No stay together and fight it out?'
u know?

thanks girls.Just wanted to make sure my head was on straight. I tend to get emotional lately with the hormones i didnt want to over react

Aww
I went to catholic school my whole life and loved it. I also loved this school... until the new boss came into the picture...

These parents have no morals. I don't get it. Send your kid to catholic school but teach him no morals?
