OMG!!!!!!!! Yes, definitely take legal action!!! That's insane!

She's committing fraud. This isn't just an issue of suing... this is actually a criminal matter. As in, you could go to the DA and she could be arrested. It might be worth contacting the rackets bureau and seeing what they suggest.

This is a really serious matter IMO... something has to be done to stop her -- it may be worth putting a fraud alert on your dad's SSN with the major credit bureaus. They call any time someone tries to open a CC with his name and number then. (I was broken into a few years ago and had one on mine for a little while... annoying when I forgot and tried to get a card at Ann Taylor one time... but in general it made me feel safer.)

I'm sorry you're going through this and I hope you find a solution ASAP!!!

i would take legal action without a doubt. its illegal!!!!!!
she obviously doesnt think twice about screwing over family, so i would definitely sue her. ughhh, this ***** for ur dad. i hope it gets straightened out asap!

It's a battle to fix credit problems... EVEN from fraud... so catching it EARLY is key.

Sometimes... if it's REALLY bad you might have to get a new social security number.

I want to. My mother is saying since she is 'family' we should wait...

But to me, she isn't if she is doing something like that. She was never there for me growing up, and when my dad was in a coma, she was off from work... and NEVER offered to drive my mother to Staten Island... so I would wake up at 3am, drive my mom into staten island, and then head back to be at work by 720... She actually made it a POINT to say to us for new years (I was afraid to drive late) 'Well I'll be partying'. She didnt even visit him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just, wanted to make sure that I am not over reacting from hormones... because I am really really upset by this...

And my mom was like 'Wow i wish i could take them'

Little did my mom know her husband was paying for them anyway...

That family stuff is CRAP!! Do it regardless of how you are related to her!! It doesn't matter. If she's doing fraudelant things to her own family members... just think of what she's capable of doing to other people. AND not only that...but to do nothing and just sit around just leaves the door open for her to do it again.
That lil story I mentioned about the aunt stealing the checks... she did this NUMEROUS times throughout the years! And steals thousands from them... and they DO NOTHING because she's FAMILY!! So why not just put her on your damn bank account then??? ugh! sorry, it just makes me angry!!! I hate theives!!!

Well... even if Vin doesn't get it... I SURE do!! There are some really awesome 'family members' who aren't related at all...and wouldn't do the things lovely aunt is doing!!
