XPost: What hair straightner do you use?

my straightner of 6 years broke on me this morning. it kept turning off and then started smoking

i bought a CHI a few years back but didnt like it much so i sold it on ebay but i'm wondering if i should try it again.

What do you use and do you recommend it?

I use the Solia with ceramic plates and I highly recommend it. Sorry yours broke, that’s like my worst nightmare, so I always keep an extra one in my house

i was just online looking some up and saw solia. i had never heard of it. i'm gonna look into it thanks

Agreed... This is the one I have and I love it! Never tried the chi though so not sure how it compares

I have a brand new Chi, have to be honest it works and gets the job done ok, but some of my friends straighteners work better.

I think I have Solia or Soliel... but Solia sounds more right.

I got the pink one (breast cancer awareness version). LOVE it!! My puerto rican friend (she has the pr curls) turned me on to it.

Edit - just looked it up and solia is the one i have for sure! i highly recommend it!

Me too! And I have beyond curly hair. It's not just super curly, it's coarse, kinky, and dry. The CHI is the ONLY flat iron that get's my hair straight to the point where you can't tell I don't have naturally straight hair.
