YAY! My First Anniversary!
Adam and I had a REALLY nice first anniversary! We went to dinner at a nice place not far from us in PA, and then went home.
We watched our wedding video. Can I tell you guys how awesome that is? We got to relive the day. My FAVORITE part of watching the video is seeing all the interviews with the bridal party. It's HILARIOUS. You have no idea. Everyone's personality just comes right through onto the camera. Meesh comes on the screen and is all singsongy and hugs and kisses, and Shell comes on and is all cool and smooth, Matt Miller comes on and lays some science on us, and Brett laughs, tries to pretend he's not funny, and then gets all serious and philosophical. Really, it's just like they all put a little bit of their soul onto the tape. Someday, we'll show our kids. And they'll say, 'Wow, Auntie Meesh hasn't changed One Bit, has she, Mommy?' etc.
Laurie (LBF404) you also have a shining moment during the video. During the Horah, after the chair part, the MC says, ok, Grab a partner and Dosey Doe! You can be seen looking at Evi and saying 'I don't know what that means.' and I DIE LAUGHING everytime!!!!
Of course my beautiful LIW ladies who were present are on camera looking smashing. Jax430 and her DH Brad are also ALL OVER THE VIDEO. I mean ALL OVER IT.![]()
While we were watching the vid, we ate a piece of our wedding cake, which has been sitting in our freezer for the last year. This amazes me to say it, but it was OK!!!!! I wasn't all that hungry, so I couldn't really eat much of it, but I am pleased to announce that it was very well preserved. This was a HUGE surprise, because it wasn't that well wrapped to begin with, and we had it out of the freezer for a spell when we moved, and the box collapsed on itself, and there was what looked like bits of dead flower on top, but honestly, the cake was pretty darned good. Those Scottos sure know what they're doing!!!!
Adam commented that the cake was like our marriage, and he's totally right. Yeah, it looks kinda icky right now - financially, career-ly, car-ly - but the cake is as good as it was a year ago.
So that's what I've got to say about our anniversary.
