Yesterday was my parents' 34th anniversary....

and i just have to say my dad and my mom were so sweet to watch as they talked about their day...they were like, 'Oh, it's 3:17...we were walking into church!' and so on and so forth. Also, very rare for the times (1971) but they have about 15 minutes of their wedding on super 8. my dad had it transferred to video! no voices, of course, but he had it set to their wedding song 'My Own True Love' by the Duprees. My mom was gorgeous!!! And my grandpa has passed away so it was so special to see her being walked down the aisle...just had to share. Even their first dance is on video.

Aw, that is great! It's a beautiful thing that your parents are happily married...and how awesome that you get to see the video. Whenever I read posts where bride's are cutting video I want to tell them...think of 25 years from now! I know you know what I mean...

Sasha it's very true; we are one of those people who cut the videographer out and I wish maybe we hadn't....but on the upside, a close girlfriend of mine surprised me and her husband taped our whole wedding ceremony! I'm thankful we have that to watch! He even panned down on our programs and tried to be 'professional' about it. Of course it starts with her shouting: 'March 19th! It's finally here, honey! Your wedding day!!!!!!':)

It doesn't have to be professional because you won't care when you're looking at it and remembering, it just has to be captured. And I am SO happy to hear that your beautiful ceremony was captured! That's what made you husband and wife...the rest is just a happy blur! And I love the 'beginning' sounds great!

My parents have been married 37 years and I love hearing stories of couples who have been married for a long time and are still happy. Mine also do the same reenactment thing (it is 4PM and your mother still wasn't there)
