your bridal shower

did any of you girls know about your bridal shower???? Did you know when it is? I know that mine is this sunday but i accidentely found out....

My mom told me about 10 months before...she said that she wouldn't be able to handle it if it were a secret...although I don't think I would have wanted it to be surprise...since I always go to my moms house looking like a 'ragamuffin' in her own words...

I hve to say that it was very hard to keep my sisters bachelorette party a secret...but she found out anyway...I think her DH gave it away, not meaning...its so hard to surprise someone!

mine was at my house!

I am such a control freak...I knew everything...guest list, caterer, favors, ....my family is in Westchester, NY - his family in Jersey, my friends in NYC - my house just made sense!

I think my baby shower will be here too!

My mother and sister tried to keep it a secret but I actually had a dream about when it was going to be about 3 days beforehand - then I started to notice weird things and knew.

Don't worry about knowing about it, when you walk in the room you will still be surprised about who is there and the love you feel is so overwhelming that the surprise part won't matter.

I was totally surprised which is a feat in itself...I NEED to know everything that is going on...another control freak...they threw mme off the track by sending me an invitation for a surprise 30th b-day for a date in Aug (we got married in Oct) . I was so sure that was it....then my sister decides to have a HUGE fathers day BBQ on the SAt before FAthers day telling me that both sides of her family will be there....well...I walk into her house and Bingo....SURPRISE...there are about 60 woman there in the backyard!!
It was wonderful!!

PS...Erica...I usually look like a ragamuffin also when I got to my sisters house or moms but this time I actually wore something nice....I guess its because I thought others besides my family were going to be there!!!

I suspected, then when I saw my BM from California in a restaurant near my house with my parents, I knew for sure!

My dad took my BM to a restaurant after she traveled all day from Cali & John & I go to dinner out at least once a week.
DH & DADDY SHOULD HAVE PLANNED WHICH restaurant they were taking her to but DH shut his phone off forgetting all this.

I knew when mine was..... My younger sister (MOH) with the help from my mom, planned it and she consulted me on everything.

However, the remainder of the bridal party and the guests did not know I knew. So I put on my best surprised face

and walked in!!

they tried to surprise me, really they did but I knew. i am not super easy to surprise, but no one came out and directly told me.

I knew. I sort of suspected what the date was but my mom hung the guest list up on her refrigerator (along with the date on the top of the sheet) and neglected to take it down when I came over so that's when I knew for sure.

I live up here and my shower was in NJ ,, so I wanted to know -- also I am a contrll freak -- so I wanted to make sure it was done the way I like it .. i know thats wrong---lol.. They did a great job !

i suspected...and then when FH and I got to the 'birthdya party for my aunt' there were 2 entrances - so FH asked which was the party entrance - and the guy at the door said 'Oh, for the BRIDAL shower?' I knew it then!! FH was like, 'YEAH thanks heres the bride right here!!'
