Your favorite thing at your SHOWER

Please help girls.
Now that I am married, I have to concentrate on the 2 weddings I am in, in September. One of which I am MOH and need to plan a shower.

What was the most original or thing you liked the most at your shower. Mine was pretty routine. My BMs gave me a charm bracelet which was great but otherwise pretty standard.

I am looking for some new fresh ideas. My girl is not a tea party type either. She is a Party girl and very much the anti-bride.

I loved the recipes cards that I got from everyone!! I loved the favors that my BM's made. (the large canning jars filled with beans for either chili or soup with the recipe attached!!

Here are some nice ideas that add a personal touch:
-My stepmom used flowers that I planned on having in my bridal boo-k for the shower centerpieces and each table was named after one of those flowers.
-I had an apron that everyone signed and put Congrats or other well wishes on instead of a guest book. I love to cook/bake so this was a great idea for me (thanks to Stef for giving it to them)

Stef's MOH made a CD of wedding songs that was played at the shower. I really loved that idea too.

How about making the shower more of an evening event, rather than an afternoon. And include fun drinks such as martini's or something like that.
