so dh and i are trying to relocate to PA and in order to do this he has to transfer.. so tomorrow he has a meeting early tomorrow morning with the regional manager in PA.. so he's going down tonight to stay in a hotel and it just dawned on me.. this is our first time apart since we got married.. i'm not sure how i'm feeling..i'm off tomorrow so i could go with him except i chipped a tooth tomorrow that already had some serious issues and if i go with then i wont' get my tooth fixed.. but i don't want him to go..... he's packing his suitcase..

DH had to go to SC for a week the week after we got back from our honeymoon and now this week he has to go away again and starting in July he will be away until December Definitely no fun

aww thats horrible.. i will be facing the same thing.. if his job transfer goes through, he'll be going to PA now and i won't be going till august after the baby is born.

I had to do this too, DH moved to NY 3 months before I did-it was tough but I just kept myself occupied and then after some time I got used to it It was actually nice to have the bed to myself-even tho I couldnt sleep for about a week-it was nice to decided what i wanted for dinner

You were then still paying rent on two places right? That is one more thing that $uck$ about the situation. All this saving and now we will have to maintain two places for six months Plus now Dan wants to save his vacation time for December, but I still want to go away over the summer.

Yep, our lease was up at the end of July in SC, so I paid for June and July-then moved in with the ILs for August. BUt DH stayed with a friend for the month of June and then moved into an apt. in July, so technically we only double paid for July. Its suucked but it worked out. It took a big chunk of savings away but we REALLY wanted to be back in NY so it was worth it to do it that way. YOu are doing it for 6 months so it definitely is a lot worse of a situation then we were in

we're going to be maintaining two places from april to august.. i'll be paying my mortgage and he'll be paying rent on an apt in PA.. that ***** ... but the only other option is for me to pack my house up and move in with my mom.. which would be too much ithink right now.. who knows..

hang in there! Dh left a week after our wedding for 3 months...i was really sad being a brand new newlywed...and suddenly single again...but before that Dh traveled alot for business so i was kind of used to it...use the time to catch up with friends, or take a class or start a hobby you've always wanted to try!
