Someone responded no for herself and her husband (her new husband) and showed up to our wedding for the ceremony (fine, even though it was at the hall).....BUT STAYED FOR THE COCKTAIL HOUR. They ate and drank at the cocktail hour, and then left. They just came so she could show off her new husband to everyone at once!!! And she TOLD MY MIL that is why she came!! So she could introduce everyone to her new husband at the same time!! BUT SHE HAD A PLATE AND DRINK IN HER HAND WHEN SHE TOLD HER THIS!!!
SO RSVP YES!!
SHE USED MY WEDDING AS A FRIGGIN COMING OUT PARTY!!!
WHERE DO PEOPLE GET THE BALLS!?!?!!!!
I'm so glad I didn't see them.
Edited to take out the gift part....because who gives a crap about the gift...it's just the principle!!

That is very weird...but at least you didnt have to pay for this couple to come out. Totally tacky to show up to your cocktail hour but it didnt cost you anything so thats one good thing.

Anna, not a thing.....not a card, didn't look for us, didn't come to where we were taking pics. Nothing. She did this just so she could introduce everyone to her new husband.

She walked right up to my MIL....so she wasn't shy about it. And when my MIL got nervous and said 'oh we weren't expecting you, we have to make arrangements for seats' she says 'oh no we're leaving, I just wanted to introduce everyone to so and so' all this with a mouth full of fettucine and a screwdriver in her hand!

WE had this too - except the people asked first if they coud do it. I thought it was weird too, but the catering hall didn't charge us for them - totally weird IMO

not for nothing, this person 'deserves' a phone call telling her that what she did was in poor taste and VERY disrespectful!!! (to not even greet you and your new hubbY! and meanwhile the whole world is introduced to her new hubbY!!! )

One of my stiffers came but told me she'd be leaving at 9pm to go to some sort of reunion.
Well she did alright, a threesome with my friend & his new girlfriend.

I found out from my MIL. She didn't even want to tell us! She was so embarrassed.
What goes around comes around....she'll find out how classless she is eventually!
