Before buying anything major from a bridal salon, make sure they are reputable with the local Better Business Bureau. It is wise to make any down payments with a credit card. If there a breach of contract on their part, you then have better control over any deposits. Make sure any contracts or receipts are written out in detail. This includes any special services you may request, or the dress alterations agreement.
