We recently had our wedding at the estate at East Wind and I can honestly say it was a dream come true. Our guests raved about the cocktail hour and the service. The staff was on top of everything, even a little too much as one of our guest mentioned that every time he put his drink down for a second, he would turn back around and it would be gone. Our Maitre d', Scott was very professional and organized. All the little extras I created were placed around the room exactly as I pictured. Our bridal attendant, Diane was very attentive and helpful. When one of the bridesmaids ripped her dress she was right there to assist. She had a solution for everything! We were very lucky with the most beautiful weather and were able to have our ceremony outside. It was a perfect day, thank you EW! The only negative I would express is that they had a lot of turnover in their sales department. We had 3 different people helping us throughout the year.

We got married at the Cottage and Penny was our coordinator. Everything went so smoothly and great! I have nothing but fantastic memories of our wedding. They were so easy to work with which was great as I was planning our wedding from GA and SC (I made two trips up there for planning). Having pretty much everything all inclusive was FANTASTIC! I loved the fact that we only had two choices for DJ and Photography, otherwise I would have gone crazy trying to find one while being out of state. The food was awesome! DJ was though Long Island Sound and they were GREAT! We also used ADA for our photos which I am positive will be awesome (still waiting on the proofs, but it's still early)! The Maitre'd and Bridal Assistant made sure that not only we were well taken care of, but our guests were as well. We had flowers done through With All My Heart and they were gorgeous as well. All of our guests had a great time, people are still raving about how much fun it was! We will never forget how great that day was!

This is a somewhat difficult review to write, as there are really two separate reviews. The first part is the day of - My wedding at the Estate was absolutely beautiful! It was my dream wedding come to life. The Maitre D, Scott, made sure everything flowed seamlessly, and he and the bridal attendant, Bruna, saved my butt on multiple occasions, from red wine spilling on my gown to my bustle collapsing due to everyone stepping on my dress, they saved everything, you would never even know there was a problem! The grounds at East Wind are gorgeous, and the Estate is a beautiful building. Three weeks later and guests are still raving about it and telling me it was the best wedding they've ever been to! Despite my beautiful day, working with East Wind to plan my wedding was, in short, an absolute nightmare. After booking with them, I was out of sight, out of mind. I was not reached out to unless there was a payment due. If I had questions, often questions my other vendors needed to know, it would be several days before I would hear back with a one-line, greetingless response, answering only my last question. I would often have to follow up and request they answer the rest of my questions. After 10 months of working with my planner, she sent me proofs for my menu with my name wrong, and also had no idea what my ceremony theme was. Then she tells me 6 weeks before the wedding that she had found another job and will be leaving. When I asked who would be replacing her, she said "someone will reach out to me in a few weeks" This was an unacceptable answer that caused me great undue stress and worry mere weeks before the day! And, despite correcting my name and seeing the corrected proofs, on the day of, there was my menu, with the wrong name on top! How do you get the bride's name wrong? It made me feel really low priority and like I didn't matter.

If I could give zero stars I would. It wasn't until the planning started that everything went to sh*t. When my husband and I were booking they told us that they would include a farewell station at the end of the wedding. they failed to mention that I would be losing one of my cocktail hour stations. I received an email from Laura saying that we would be down a station unless we pay extra. This was 2 weeks prior to the wedding. How do you tell a bride 2 weeks before her wedding that the menu agreed upon is no longer valid and that its going to cost me extra money?? I found that to be so tasteless and horrible customer service. So I had to shovel out almost $800 for the pasta station (that should of been included) it gets better.. 2 weeks prior to the wedding we sat with Laura and she gave us our remaining balance. We gave the check, Laura made a copy and said we were all paid up. Final Balance zero, no credits or refunds. my husband and I were so excited that our wedding was paid off and the wedding was in 2 weeks. Fast-forward 2 weeks after my wedding we received a call from our photographer stating he wasn't paid, he asked if we were a part of the all inclusive package. I told him we were and that I would have my husband call East Wind to figure out why he wasn't paid. My husband called Laura and then she realized that she charged us the wrong amount on our final payment. When my husband spoke with East Wind about this issue they were extremely rude and unprofessional in their approach with him suggesting that he should know more about THEIR contract. When he called about the contract issue, they said to him "do the right thing and give us the money were asking for". No conversation, no discussion, treating him like a misbehaving 2 year old. What kind of venue treats the customer like that?? Thank you east wind for making my wedding memories a complete nightmare. I hope that 3,000 was worth it. East wind is literally a nightmare to deal with.

East Wind made our big day phenomenal. It was everything that we hoped and dreamed of. The cottage was gorgeous. We had an outdoor ceremony on premises. Breathtaking!!! Kathleen was our Matre'D and kept it all organized. Judy was my bridal attendant and such a sweetheart. The whole experience from the first meeting with Kaitlyn to the last song was such a great one. I would definitely recommend East Wind to any bride and groom.
