Everyone was incredibly professional. Our band kept the crowd dancing all night! Everyone asked for their name. They were a delight to work with and I only wish I could work with them again!! OUTSTANDING! Worth every penny

I know it may sound like a broken record because Around Town Entertainment has glowing reviews, but it is because they truly deserve it. Adam, my contact with the band and a singer with the band, was grand. He is such a professional, returned my calls within minutes and was easy to work with. Laid back and talented are two qualities that fit this band to a T. After an easy contract and hiring process, all I had to do was send in some musical information and the rest was up to ATE. They delivered, with a bang. Our guests literally danced the night away and wouldn't stop chanting "One More Song," at the end of the night. The sound quality was supreme, music selection perfect. They know all the classics, oldies and knew the songs that were hot on the radio at the time. I can't rave enough about how amazing these guys are. Hiring Around Town Entertainment was easily the best wedding decision we made. Adam and crew - thank you for an amazing, unforgettable night!

I love this band. I loved them the first time I heard them - and fell in love more after my wedding. They are rock stars! Not your old, fogie, wedding band. They are young, fresh, and so versatile. They can play anything. Around Town MADE my wedding. They are so incredibly talented, fresh, impressive. My guests came up to me all night to say what a fabulous band I had. The even shouted for an encore at the end of the night! The band sounded great, played everything I wanted, learned new songs, and were just professional, prepared, and so enjoyable to work with. I have been speaking with Adam all year about my wedding and he's been so responsive and helpful. He has offered me tons of guidance, and helped me build a music plan to fit my needs. I really couldn't have been happier. They are TOP NOTCH!!!!! 100% recommended!!!

We were thrilled that we chose A-List for our band at our wedding. They were great, followed exactly what we had expressed wanting (kept folks up and dancing), and not only did we think they were super, so many people commented to us that they were struck by their sound and versatility of music. Speaking of the variety they played, I wanted to acknowledge Gabrielle in particular. We are a bilingual couple (Spanish/English), so we were looking for a band that would play a good mix of Spanish and English songs. Of the band managers I spoke with, Adam was the one who offered for the band to learn the most new songs (all in Spanish), and we were beyond impressed with the number of songs they added to their play list, just for us! In particular, Gabrielle, who apparently only studied Spanish for one year in college, did an absolutely amazing job. She took on all the Spanish songs and performed them incredibly with her beautiful voice. She also did a great job as MC!

My husband and I and our families LOVED having Around Town play at our wedding. Not only did they keep our guests on the dance floor the entire night, but they were also extremely accommodating of our special requests. While they already had a repertoire of Jewish "Hora" songs, my parents requested that they learn about 10 more Hora songs not too many weeks before the wedding, and all the lyrics were in Hebrew. Adam and his band did an incredible job learning these brand new songs, and during the wedding my parents mentioned several times how incredible of a job they had done. Aside from the Jewish songs, Around Town did an excellent job with all the pop, rock, and old school songs we had asked for. MANY of our guests told us that this was the best wedding band they had ever heard, and one of my friends even asked me if I knew of any live performances coming up because she wanted to go to one. This band is truly worth every penny, and we are so thrilled to have found them!

1.When most people think of wedding music, they think of DJs, tell us how you offer a unique and special alternative to the traditional

Actually most people seem to want the energy that live music brings to an event. DJ's can bring more of the very 'produced' sounding music. Our live bands focus on bringing an eclectic mix to each event. Not trying to be the typical 'wedding band,' we have all styles of music ranging from the classics to what is current on the radio right now, while infusing our clients' favorites. We focus on sophisticated, yet high energy approach that keeps everyone on the dance floor.

2.In your opinion, is a band best suited for the cocktail hour or reception or both?

I usually like a nice jazz trio for the cocktail hour. It sets a nice tone for the evening, while not interfering with guests’ minglings.

3.Tell us about working in conjunction with other types of entertainment such as a DJ.

We are always happy to provide a DJ, other cultural bands, performers, etc. It is nice to transition from our contemporary band into our client's favorite family music, whether it be Greek music, Latin music, Israeli, etc. DJ's can make a great after party, or they can alternate with us to give our clients the feeling of a 'club atmosphere.'

4.What types of entertainment music do you offer?

We can provide all entertainment for every event. As we are a full entertainment company, we offer live bands, orchestras, DJ/MC, dancers, specialty acts, lighting and full production.

5.Tell us about how you motivate the crowd and keep the party going?

Usually our music creates enough energy and speaks for itself. With powerhouse vocals and amazing musicians, the room is filled with energy and people can't help but to move! We are not the type of band the overdoes the MC'ing. Our philosophy is 'less is more.'

6.Can couple’s customize their song list or do you have a repertoire they need to select from?

Our songlist is over 1000 songs. We can absolute help clients to customize their songlist. If we don't have a particular song on our list, we will learn it and make it perfect for the event.

7.Give us some insight on what a couple should look for when choosing a band.

It is important to look first and foremost at the talent. Make sure you are dealing with the highest level of musicianship. Avoid the large 'factory style' companies who cannot show video or live performances. This usually indicates that they piece the band together as needed.

8.How far in advance should a couple schedule a meeting with you?

We are happy to meet clients anytime they are ready to sit down and discuss entertainment

9.How far in advance should a couple book with you?

We book at least 1 year in advance, so it is important to make sure you have enough time to save the date

10. What do you require for setup and is there anything they should inform the catering hall of?

We always come with a professional sound team. There is very little that we require in the way of set up. Catering Halls should know that we are fully insured.

11. Is this something younger as well as more mature couples can take advantage of, benefit from and have fun with?

Absolutely! We are music for all! Every genre of music will be performed. Some who prefer the classic standards, such as Sinatra, will be thrilled and others who prefer the latest dance hit will be shocked at how current we are.

12.What are some of the most requested songs you can boast you do?

I think I am the most proud of the fact that not only do we already know just about every song in the book, we know the most unusual, obscure songs as well. This thrills our clients who have an eclectic taste in music.

13.What, in your opinion is the developing trend in bands and wedding celebrations.

I think most don't want the 'typical wedding band' with what they call 'tacky' selections. Our clients are intelligent and know great music. So we have to be at the top of our game.

14.Are bands appropriate for both daytime and evening events?

Bands are great for both. People always love amazing music no matter what time of the day.

15.Besides the popular music most of us are familiar with what other types of songs or music do you do?

Every style of music is covered by Around Town.

16.Can you also play requests?

We can always play requests, but we make sure our clients want us to accept requests, as they may have very specific ideas of what they want for their event.

17.Do you do any ethnic songs such as Italian, Irish, or Greek tunes to name a few?

We do all ethnic styles!

18.What can hiring a band add to the wedding celebration?

A band creates the hype and the energy. In my opinion, the band is responsible for making the event the best it can be.

19.Tell us about some of the latest innovations and how you are keeping up with the market trends.

We are always at the forefront of what is current and new to music, song choices, etc.

20.What kind of “sound” is your particular band most noted for?

(Jazz, swing, big band, etc). Our band is most noted first for amazing vocals. As we cover every style, we are known for bringing it all to each event.
