We registered at BB&B and at Fortunoff. Not all our guests live around here, Fortunoff is only local and you can't buy everything on line.

I guess it depends on what your looking to register for. We decided against Fortuneoff because we werent interested in fine china or high end bedding. We decided to go with Macys since I was really want a few 'bed in a bag' sets. We also registered at Bed Bath and beyond because they have a good selection of almost anything. We especially need towels, so it was a good choice for us. I looked into crate & barrell and pottery barn but was suprised that they didnt have a good selection. Plus it really turned me off that their seasons change so quickly and you have to constantly update your registry because items are discontinued.

I registered at Bed, Bath and Beyond. They have all the stuff that I need around the house and I also registered at Williams Sonoma - I love to cook and love some of their gadgets! They have a lemon and lime press that I so LOVE! Makes excellect cosmos.

I had a terrible experience at Macy's and cancelled the registry after I got home and switched to Fortunoff's. I found the selection at Macy's to be terrible and they were far too concerned about pushing their special programs for china & stemware even after I told her I was not registering for those things. We mainly wanted household stuff, maybe they are better if you are looking for the china and stemware.

Fortunoff was pretty good, but tough to make changes online. I found Crate and Barrel to have the best online registry. They do discontinue some items, but they give you plenty of notice and I didn't have anything discontinued until yesterday (4 months after the wedding). C&B were also wonderful about returns that I made for one or two things that arrived damaged.

We did Linen's & Things, Macy's and Crate and Barrel. I just got a gift car from Macys for $140. When someone purchases something off your registry, they give you 10% of the total.

My vote is for BBB. I heard some negative things about Macy's--duplicate gifts, difficulty doing exchanges, etc., from other brides.

Though it depends what you want. I have china already--I really need upgrades on my housewares, so BBB works.

everyone loves crate and barrel - really easy to order online- everyone likes using them - we love their glass ware and they had the pots we want there

Fortuneoff had everything we wanted- it is sort of a right of passage to use them- everyone in my family checks to see if you register there- have not had any problems with them - they also reinstated the value on one my gift cards after my wallet was stolen - i called before it was used

bed bath and beyond- great return policy - good for people who do not want to treak to fortunoff- like their towels too

Fortunoff is good if most of your guests are local. Except buying from them is a PITA because they keep all of the china at the clearance center and after you buy something you have to drive over there to pick it up.

I did not love Macy's. I found them to be out of a lot of things on my registry. My mom had to special order my glasses and they wanted her to pay for the delivery. She ordered them from the store and they wanted her to pay. That's just crazy.

BBB was great. I loved dealing with them.

What about Penney's?

Definitely Macy's or Fortunoff because that is where you can get all your china and 'the good stuff'. The other places don't matter because you can get all your every day items there.

I am very happy with my Macys and BBB registries so far... and Macys has an awesome rewards program... after you register if you buy anything on your macys credit card from the store you save 10% i think... then you get money back at the end... prices do go up and down, but if you hit everything when it is on sale, there are some great prices... plus my family in FL can get me stuff from there...

We registered at Fortunoff, Crate & Barrel, and Macy's. I nixed our Williams Sonoma registry and added Macy's instead. We ONLY registered for completer pieces for our china at Macy's since they keep them in stock and Fortunoff had all of the completer pieces, for our pattern, as special order items.

I honestly can't stand Macy's but it made sense to move the remainder of our china pieces there. Unfortunately, it forced me to delete our Williams Sonoma registry :( I refused the have 4 registry cards in my shower invitations.
