My mom went to hold the date at our church after we finally got our Prenuptual done at the church here in CA. The date is already taken at the church for our wedding day 19 months in advance!! It was 19 months until the wedding yesterday. I am seriously shocked!! Of course we got the reception place booked first cause we figured that would book up sooner. We got a 'release' filled out allowing us to go outside the parish so hopefully we'll find someplace!! This is so crazy! Girls, make sure you don't wait too long to book things. If anyone comments on how long our engagement is, I swear I'm going to go off!! Sorry, I just had to vent about this!!

Wow that is shocking!! I thought the Church was the easier part. Less people looking at the same place. Just a tip to future brides - I had my hall write subject to availability of the Church and they held it for a few days until I could confirm with the Church!!

Sorry to hear that! However it may not be for a wedding - I know my church had certain dates blocked for special masses, communions, christenings, etc.

We booked our April 2005 wedding at North Ritz Club in Sept, the day bride was already booked. And Jack and Rose is booked also.
