05 diet support group?

Original post by JPC1125

On slim down, there used to be a online support group that was started to keep up motivation and encouragement.
It seems to have dissolved over time but since we 05 brides are still trying to lose those last few pounds before our weddings, I thought maybe we could give it a go here?

Is anyone interested?
I would start the weekly update threads but anyone can post whenever you need a boost or feel like you need some support.

name------weight loss goal----------how

Jenn - 25 pounds;gym 3 days + portion control

eta: Ive lost 12 pounds but gained again so now im at -6 pounds

(thanks for this idea Diana! Its good to see what we HAVE accomplished instead of just what we havent!)

Re: 05 diet support group?

Ok I have just hit the ultimate low-FH & I have been moving into our new place and last night we were emptying some boxes and I came across the scale-well I am .5lbs less than my heaviest and I am still 20lbs (maybe a little more) from my goal weight

I don't know where to start-I've been going to the gym at least 3 times a week-clearly I need to step that up but I know my eating habits aren't the best either. I did atkins when I was at my heaviest and dropped 14lbs and felt great but I slowly went off and the weight slowly came back so I dont know if I should try atkins again? Or I have been considering joining Weight Watchers but am aprehensive because I don't know too much about it? I would want to do the flex points but what can I eat??!?!? I know some of you ladies are on it can you please give me some info-I'm really really low right now

Re: 05 diet support group?

I would def do WW. Its the healthiest diet out!!!! Dont get too upset over it though. You have plenty of time to get to where you want to be and you are def on the right track since you are going to the gym!

I am determined to be good at the reception tonight. No cake or sweets for me. Just drinking and dancing

Well, I definitely ate more this holiday weekend than I do on normal weekends - but I didn't go nuts, which is good!
Also, FH and I went to the gym yesterday...and I did 45 minutes on the elliptical and 160 crunches!!!

Hope everyone did great this weekend!

Re: 05 diet support group?

had a nice workout...did 50 min of cardio then did upper body weights. since i'm at a plateau, i need to change the workout routine. lets see if this will work.

I ate more this w/e too, but I still somehow lost weight from this time last week. Maybe it was working out 4 times last week?

Oh well, not going to kick a gift horse in the mouth

Darn! Did so well this weekend considering it was a holiday - but last night, after I posted how well I did - I had a little episode with low fat ice cream and a black and white cookie! Now, I feel angry at myself, but I need to just let it go and move on....

Go Tracey!!!!!

Pinkstar- you are on Depo too? I wonder how much of my weight gain it is responsible for. My GYN also had me get a Dexa (bone scan test) b/c prolonged use of Depo causes bone loss.
