Some of you probably know about this, but I just discovered this website where you can track your food and exercise goals, for FREE! After you enter your food consumption, it gives you a fabulous pie chart diagram of your fat vs carbs vs protein - a great visual for keeping things balanced!
Thanks - I'll definitely check it out. Lost five pounds so far, looking to lose 20 more!

What is everyone doing to loose weight. I'm exercising, but I need a weight training routine and trying to follow the WW plan (but I'm not going to meetings).

A week ago this past Friday was when I got REAL!!!
I always eat pretty healthy. At 34 your metabolism slooooooows way down. I recently took pictures of myself in my dress and wasn't happy so now:
Carbs only for breakfast. Lunch- mostly veggies with a small amount of chicken or turkey Snack- handful of almonds (about 10) Dinner- again mostly veggies with some protein
Height 5' 8' starting weight 150 lbs
Friday 2/26- 45 minutes of cardio on treadmill (3 miles)
Saturday 2/27- same and worked out arms with weights, lunges with 10lb weights, modified pushups (I can't do them to save my life) crunches
Monday 2/28- 30 minutes of cardio and arms
Tuesday 3/1- arm workout, did 10 minute abdominal workout (downloaded from IO digital cable), 10 minute bun workout, 15 minute total body workout
Wednesday 3/2- just arms legs were killing me from treadmill
Thursday 3/3- none
Friday 3/4- treadmill 45
Saturday- 3/5 arm workout (uped the reps and some of the weight), 10 minute abs (still have difficulty doing whole thing), 10 minute buns.
I find it's hard to do with FH home but I got on a roll while he was on a business trip. So now I don't want to stop.
We also want to get PG soon so that is what is really helping me stick to it.
Good luck girls, don't EVER QUIT!!!! Oh, sure I yell and say not so nice words while doing all of this but I am doing it and definitely sticking to it.

One of the things that will make a big difference is cutting out the refined sugar in your diet. There is so much natural sugar in food that even if you have a sweet tooth, you'll be able to occasionally have a treat, just make it without refined sugar - which is sugar that has been stripped of all its nutrients, bleached and processed so as to have no nutritional value.
Natural sugars: barley malt, honey, fructose (sugar in fruit), etc.
Regarding Carbs - there are good carbs and bad carbs. Foods that are predominately white flour based will be converted immediately into sugar in your bloodstream and your body will immediately want more. hamburger buns, white toast, bagels, pasta, etc. switch to whole wheat pasta or soba noodles if you can.
grains are really good for you and will keep you full for a long time. Having oatmeal for breakfast is one of the best things you can do on a diet cause your body NEEDS carbs and having the good carbs in the morning is the best time to have them. . . unfortunately the best oatmeal if the kind without the apples and cinamon and maple sugar - McCann's Irish Oatmeal (i think that's it) has a really high nutritional value. I can't say that I prefer it over apples and cinnamon, but it's really really good for you.
Good luck everyone and I'm sure we'll all look great in our dresses!

Re: 05-ers weight loss support - come on in!
I have been working out 5-6 days a week(Curves with free weights and yoga) and watching what I eat for about a month. I finally am starting to see results and it feels great. But the woman at Curves told me I really need to write down what I eat. SO starting Monday, I will be doing that. It helps to keep you focused.

I like fitday too! I have been using that for awhile. Its so funny- I finished writing my angry post about weight loss and when I clicked back this topic was here :) hehe I did WW and lost 14 lbs but hit a plateau that I have been at for several months now. I really stepped it up this week- eating less, more fruits and veggies, cardio went from 30mins to 60mins a day about 5-6 days a week. Body sculpting classes (free weights), a circuit training class (the machines)......all things I did before but I am increasing.
