05 Newlyweds: Did you invite the priest?

We dont really know him so I wasnt sure. Is it proper to invite them? If so, where do I send the invitation?

I didnt - because we didnt know him that well.

We did invite him to the RD but he couldnt come cause he had to attend a wake.

Im meeting with the Officiant tonight to go over the ceremony details...Im going to just hand him the invitation for him and his wife.

He did stay for my sister's wedding...so I think that if he doesn't have other plans he will stay for mine as well.

We didn't. Perhaps if I'd known him from my childhood or something I would have. But no....

I asked him informally...but i didnt send an invite

We didnt but we asked him if he wanted to join us at the RD.

we did, he came to both our rehersal dinner and the reception. he got to know us over the year during our premarital counseling and i was happy to have him celebrate with us.

We sent an invite to our church. RSVP was Friday and haven't heard back from him though lol.

We are sending an invite, although I suspect he won't attend the reception.

Nope - we didn't know him that well.
Plus after he asked for a tip and then called DH by the wrong name multiple times during my ceremony I would have taken my invitation back right then and there!!!

I invited my Deacon and his wife and they were among the first to RSVP yes! We have gotten to know them during Pre-Cana and my Confirmation and we're glad they are coming...and suprised, too!
